| So Christmas is coming up shortly, (Unless you don't celebrate it)
But if anyone has been paying attention you'll have noticed a few big hitters are are in the running. Game of the Year candidates a few of them, others... Not so much.
First we start with Assassins Creed III coming out on the 30th October, a game which I, myself am looking forward to! The main portion of Assassin's Creed III will be set before, during and after the American Revolution from 1753 to 1783, featuring a new protagonist: half-English and half-Native American, Connor Kenway, birth name Ratonhnhaké:ton (pronounced "Ra-doon-ha-gay-doon").
Secondly there is Halo 4, which comes to our screens on the 6th of November, a GotY candidate, and no doubt winner of the title. This installment takes place 4 years after the events of Halo 3, with Master Chief returning as the main Protagonist, and the AI Cortana who is in the early stages of Rampancy.
Thirdly, I do believe this to be a Dark Horse for the running, is Dishonored. Which looks like Assassins Creed & Army of Two had a child. Dishonored follows Corvo Attano, a legendary bodyguard to the Empress who is framed for her murder and forced to become an assassin to seek revenge on those who conspired against him. Attano is aided in his quest by the Outsider, a powerful being who imbues him with magical abilities.
These are but three games coming out for Christmas period, any others you think will be a contender for Game of the Year?
- Note: I have looked through games, and sales of prequels etc, and before anyone asks me, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is not in the running, therefore will not be getting the coveted prize. |

| I've not really had much interest in it. xD I was really gutted that the new Army of Two: The Devils Cartel comes out March 2013, well... I have a game to look forward to in '13.
I'm refusing to watch gameplay videos of the three games I mentioned above. I wanna play them all, well... I really should complete Halo 1, 2 & 3 first. xD |

From a personal point of view, i thik it might be Halo winning this year, since Every year They launch a game it is proven to win it. but then again this new black ops 2 is Suposed to be the best they have launched... though i think it won't get that much ttention as MW3 was hacked with 3 month's of the game being released.. though on the other hand black ops 1 (console ) wasn't hacked once, i'm not too sure if activison will use the same physics engine as black ops 1, with improved protection upon the game settings or not.. We will need to Wait and see i Suppose. |

| I can pick up the entire Halo series for about £30 quid Pre-Owned. >__>
I can get a hold of my girlfriends old x-box and start playing Halo again, I gave it up since I HATED the warthog's control system, annoyed me to no end. Lmao.
I can probably get Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, Halo Reach and Halo Wars, and play through em for a few days, but that requires spending money on a franchise that I'd have to blitz through for the release of number 4. Which is kind of tedious if you ask me, and boring as heck.
I'd rather go buy a PS Vita, and get the new Assassins Creed 3 Liberation when it releases, if it hasn't already released yet. Playing as a woman is awesome. <:l
Yes, I just admitted I prefer to play games as woman rather than as a male. The reason I loved Bayonetta. xD |

well from a PC gamer's point of view ( No pun intended ) playing as a woman can be very fun indeed, more epic when you have guy's attempting to hit on you, then You come on the microphone and tell them your a Guy... Makes them feel awkward... Best Feeling Ever |

| Nah, playing as a female... Is better, since most games it's a masculine male, yeah, okay, SEEN IT A MILLION TIMES OVER.
Yet the rarity that is a main female character, BEING PLAYABLE, when it presents itself - YOU TAKE THAT MUTHA, and take it good.
Although, that's just me talking. xD |

| No one would though. It's like when you create a character for a story. You can have millions of male characters, but it's the female characters people pay attention to, since they might be few in number, but are usually the most interesting. Part of the reason I enjoy playing as a female, the choices in the game will be TOTALLY different, since in most franchise' the females aren't as strong as men, but are more nimble, and can move around quicker, and easier.
Which is why I'm peculiar about the Assassins Creed 3: Liberation on PS Vita, it's a female Assassin, I'm curious as to how different they are, if they are the same, I'll be annoyed. Female's should be able to move around quicker (Slower depending on gear carrying around) and whatnot.
YOU CATCH MAH DRIFT. |

YOU CATCH MAH DRIFT. i know where you Are coming From but if you think about it, if the female is faster, then should be alittle weaker or something like it |

| I'm sure I said "the females aren't as strong as men, but are more nimble" so aye.
I don't know any games that take into what the characters carrying and build, they usually don't lose speed, I can't say anything about SKYRIM, but if a game appears that takes into everything, it's gonna be Game of the Year no doubt. But a game that does that will be very late in the future. |

| The first Assassins Creed wasn't as good, the control layout was odd, and hard to get used to, they fixed that in the next one, and kept it through to current, I think. The new one is released on Halloween (Or is it the day before?).
I've seen trailers and I'm excited about it. But no one's really said ('cept Detheroc) about other games they think have a chance~ |

Well you don't say
i've heard Atleast 30 people playing it today on the bus...
though back on topic, the Lastest news about Halo 4 is that there has been a leaked copy released onto the internet, allowing those with Modded consoles to play it... though mircosoft is already ontop of it as they have already prem banned a few accounts, but those who haven't been caught face tougher punishments, Including The famous console ban. it will be interesting as it is a possible contender for Game of the year.. |

| That isn't quite right there.
Microsoft know that it's been leaked (Wether this was one purpose or not, we don't know), but they have said that if anyone is caught playing it BEFORE the release date, the account will be permanently banned, the console will not be able to hold an Xbox live GOLD account either.
These are the same punishments given to anyone who plays a game before release date. They won't care about it after the release date since these "Pirate" copies won't be the complete game, meaning that people will have to actually go out, and spend yet more money to buy the full game instead of a pre-released pirate version that doesn't work fully.

Well again From a person point of View i think it is to give halo some hype before the release.. please remember black ops II is getting released a week after it. but it should be very interesting to see which Game comes out ontop of sales in the last quarter of the year. |

| I highly doubt that the dev's of Halo would fear something like Call of Duty Black Ops 2. Halo is a HUGE franchise that has had people drop their PS3's and run over to an X-box/360 just to play it. Trust me, I did. xD |

well True but with this 'leak' it could put alittle fear into them... only a little fear... And i know you did And i don't Think you would go back to being a proper PS3 gamer since you like the xBox 360 more. |
