oh great, still the same 'ol pals here, and thank that i'm still a staff here ( ) worry not, i'm not changed, still the same old megan here... I bought my new laptop, but i'm having a problem guys, I just want to dual boot this new laptop of mine, but i'm dealing with this UEFI thingy in BIOS, I tried to install Windows 7 x86 but the says that it can't be cause i'm in a GPT partitioned style, does anyone have any idea out there, I like to triple boot it, my original OS is Windows 8 (hate it!) I want to add a new OS (Windows 7 and XP), I've prepared already the partition for that. anyone knew how to deal with this? any idea would be greatly appreciated...

Sadly the answer is completly wiping the hard drive due to microsoft installing a 'protection' called UEFI which is a small part of coding to auto boot windows 8. Inatall windows 7 and linux... Don't tty and triple boot... If one partition table messes up you lose all three. I learned the hardway

but I've read a while ago that windows 8 and windows 7 can be dual boot, the problem is that I need the 64bit version of windows 7... I'm just here to confirm if that would be possible. any experiences about it?

well from my experience,, since i am using windows 7 and 8 on my laptop you need to install windows 7 64bit Edition first, then partition your Drive to have a smaller size Than Windows 7 for Windows 8 as windows 8 will be detected as having more harddrive space And Will auto Boot from That... you could confiure it so that it primary boots for Windows 7 but then you will be messing around with the boottable... which is a messy thing... i know ;D |

"seven"? what do you mean by that? btw, I've figured it out my self how to dual boot it in UEFI motherboards, I didn't even reformatted the whole system to renew it, I just partitioned the 1TB drive half inside windows 8 then boot it in EFI usb mode, viola! then it's all done..! thanks anyway...
